DOCUMENTATION BEFORE ASSUMPTIONS

Our standard is a useful answer with a traceable basis.

Exact scope

Technical guides should name the models, regional versions and accessory numbers they cover. Similar model names do not justify transferring a capability claim.

Sources and compatibility

Manufacturer manuals, specifications and official support statements are the primary sources for model-specific capabilities. A compatibility claim should account for the piano, accessory, receiving device and required software where relevant.

Evidence labels

What our evidence descriptions mean
DescriptionMeaning
Manufacturer-documentedSupported by official documentation for the named equipment.
Independently reviewedA reviewer separate from the author has checked the stated scope. Reviewer identity and scope should be disclosed.
Firsthand testedActual equipment, method and conditions are stated. Documentation review alone is not testing.
UnverifiedEvidence is incomplete; this is not a basis for a purchasing recommendation.

Review before publication

Model-specific technical guides are subject to factual and editorial review separate from authorship. Claims that official documentation cannot adequately establish require appropriate technical review or are excluded. We do not publish unsupported combinations with a disclaimer in place of verification.

Corrections and updates

We correct confirmed errors and recheck guidance when source material or relevant product support changes. Significant corrections should be disclosed on the affected guide. Publication dates do not by themselves establish that every specification has been recently reverified.

Commercial independence

Help comes before a purchase. A troubleshooting guide may correctly recommend buying nothing. Commercial links must be disclosed and must not be used to imply testing or compatibility that has not been established.

Safety and limitations

We favor safe external checks and manufacturer instructions. Internal repair, improvised wiring and furniture modifications are outside our scope. Qualified service is the appropriate route when the problem requires it.
